A private coaching partnership

How you relate shapes what you build, and how you live.

A three-month coaching partnership for anyone who's begun to feel that performance alone isn't the whole measure of a career, or a life. We work beneath the surface of how you lead, at work and in your own life, at the relationships and patterns everything else rests on, so that what you're building holds together, and holds up when the weight comes.

One conversation to see if it's a fit. No pitch.

Grounded in a decade of inquiry

How do we practice love within structures of power?

This partnership grew out of the Love Summit, a ten-year inquiry into love as a practical force in how we hold power and build things that last.

Since 2015, that conversation has gathered founders, executives, and public leaders around a grounded idea of love: treating people as fully human, telling the truth, and using whatever power we hold, in ways we'd be glad to defend. Not just the power of a title or an office, but the everyday kind we all carry, in our relationships and in how we treat the people around us. The coaching is where that same spirit meets your own life and work, in private.

For a turning point in how you live and lead

The work is built for a particular moment, the one where what carried you this far isn't quite enough for what's coming.

  • You're carrying more than you used to, and the way you've always done things is starting to strain.
  • You're becoming more visible, and more people are shaped by how you show up.
  • You're moving through a transition that's asking something new of you.
  • You're building something, a company, a family, a body of work, that you want to outlast you.
  • You feel the distance between what you've achieved and how clear or steady you feel.

What we work on

Grounded work, made for real life

Relational patterns don't stay personal for long. They settle into the relationships we're in, the decisions we make, and the work and lives we build. Together we bring those patterns into view, and do the slower work of bringing them back into line.

01

Clarify your convictions

Name what you stand for, clearly enough to lead from it when the pressure is on.

02

Power and influence

Take a clear look at how you hold and use whatever power or influence you have, and where it truly serves the people around you.

03

Close the gap

Find where your intentions and your actions have drifted apart, and start bringing them back together.

04

Steadiness that holds

Grow the kind of steadiness that carries you under real weight, not only on the good days.

The inner life and the outer one aren't separate projects.

In their words

The people who’ve sat in these conversations

Clients and colleagues on what changed for them, and on what the work was like while they were in it.

“One of the many qualities making Samantha uniquely qualified to coach in this capacity is her ability to not only see, but also walk both sides of many lines; she is inspired but grounded, thoughtful but decisive, convicted but open-minded, and impatient (doesn’t idle around excuses or obstacles) but understanding (doesn’t lose sight of the reality that excuses and obstacles exist). These traits, in addition to the years she has spent studying, both academically and independently, all provide a wide range of tools that help to see and guide those who decide to work with her.”
Kyle Tackett, Financial Analyst
“Working with Samantha helped me better understand my patterns of behavior, and how they may or may not lead to my intended outcome; sometimes I do something because I think it is in line with my values, but then the outcome of my actions does not align. Samantha encouraged me to look at my behaviors in a way I hadn’t considered before: from outcome to current action, rather than from action to outcome.”
Gloria Han, Physician
“Having been aware of Samantha’s work over the past decade running the Love Summit and researching bell hooks’ theory of the Love Ethic, I was happy to see her start a coaching practice. She brings a wealth of understanding and passion that can help folks bring love to their key relationships including themselves and their work.”
Jonas Hunter, Fractional COO/CFO
“Samantha was incredibly helpful to me during a time when I was trying to figure out my next steps in my career. She was able to take what was in my head and make sense of it enough that I have a solid plan. She outlined the steps to take to move my thoughts to more concrete plans. Thank you, Sam!”
Lauren Wiley, Leadership Development Consultant
“Sam is a compassionate, insightful guide into exploring love in action. Whether you are beginning with what it means to love yourself, looking to enhance your relationships, or wanting to incorporate more love in how you lead at work, Sam can help you bring more awareness and transformation to how you show up for yourself, others, and the world at large.”
Carley Marcelle, Founder, entertainment development

Who you'd work with

Samantha A. Thomas

For more than fifteen years, I've worked alongside all kinds of people, from founders and executives to people leading their own lives, across nonprofit leadership, global development, and executive brand strategy. My work has always lived where the inner life meets the outer one, because in my experience the two were never really separate.

I founded the Love Summit to ask, with serious people, how we practice love inside real structures of power. The Congruence Partnership is where that question turns personal and practical, in the service of how you live and lead.

Questions worth asking first

What kind of coaching is this?

It's not a fixed curriculum, and it's not therapy. It's a private, confidential partnership where we work on the real questions of your life and your work, and the decisions you're facing.

How do I know if it's a fit?

It tends to be a fit if you're carrying real questions and you're open to looking at them with fresh eyes. It's less of a fit if you're after a quick fix or easy reassurance. If you're not sure, that's exactly what a first conversation is for.

What is the time commitment?

Two sessions a month over three months, with direct access in between. Most of the change happens between our conversations, inside the decisions you're already making. The partnership shapes those, rather than adding one more thing to your calendar.

How do we start?

With one discovery call. We talk about where you are and what you're carrying, and together we figure out whether the work fits. There's no pitch, and if it's not right, I'll tell you.

What if I'm not sure yet?

Then start with a single Congruence Session. It's a real piece of work on its own, and if you choose to continue within thirty days, the full fee goes toward the partnership.

Begin with a conversation.

No pitch, and no pressure. We'll talk about where you are, and decide together whether this is the right work for right now.
